Thus a prayer for you!
Prayer for St. Michael’s protection
St. Michael the Archangel has been widely known for his angelic protection, both physical and spiritual. Numerous Christians have invoked his heavenly aid over the centuries, and many miracles have occurred through his intercession.
He was frequently called upon during the deadly medieval plagues and most recently was invoked in Monte Gargano at the site of an ancient apparition for protection against COVID-19.
Here is a prayer from the Raccolta that asks for St. Michael’s protection against any illness or evil, recalling his role as heavenly guardian and commander.
"St. Michael, glorious Prince chief and champion of the heavenly host, guardian of the souls of men. conqueror of the rebel angels, steward of the palace of God, under Jesus Christ our worthy captain, endowed with superhuman excellence and virtue, vouchsafe to free us all from every ill, who with full confidence have recourse to you; and by your incomparable protection enable us to make progress each day in the faithful service of our God." Amen.

Do you know what your guardian angel can do for you?
We should remember to call on this heavenly help, which is always with us on earth.
See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared. Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him” (Exodus 23:20-21).
Guardian angels bring the people entrusted to them closer to God and are charged with their physical and spiritual well-being. Each guardian angel is a protector, a teacher, a friend, and a guide all in one. So, what role do they play in our daily lives?
The protector and adviser in our everyday life
Specifically, the mission of our guardian angels consists in helping us resist temptations. In particular, we can call on them to preserve our minds from terrible and obsessive thoughts. Both angels of light and darkness can impact our mood, sparking ideas or arousing passions. But they have no access to our souls, which are the temple of God.
Our guardian angels advise and encourage us as we accomplish our daily work. The French philosopher Jacques Maritain wrote: “When a sudden (and good) inspiration comes to us, it might be of a purely natural origin. But more often than not, it has been whispered into our ear by a guardian angel.”
When a guardian angel plays the role of a communication facilitator
Finally, our guardian angels can accomplish missions involving other people. Pope Pius XI once said that, “When it happens that we must talk to someone particularly hard to convince, and that our language needs to be more persuasive, we call on our guardian angel. We charge him with the task and ask him to intervene with the guardian angel of the person we are to meet. The understanding thus established between the two angels makes the conversation much easier.”

"Searching for and Maintaining Peace"
by Jacques Philippe
A good read for these times...especially with a cacophony of voices pulling us this way and that way.
Our true aim in life is in finding Jesus, and in finding Jesus, we have found peace!

In the silence of our hearts He speaks to our inner needs:
"My thoughts are not your thoughts nor are my ways your ways. Yet a little while and you'll see what I have prepared for you and your heart will rejoice. Then you will see that all shall be well and you will go forward in peace, full of confidence in my providential love for you. There is no need to be frightened or to rush into situations that have only the appearance of solutions. Wait for me to act. Show me that you trust in me, and at the hour willed by my love for you, you will see my plan unfold."
(From "In Sinu Jesu")
Our Lord and our God, all our trust in You!
Thank you for all the Parish information and also for the inspiring writings - they are very helpful in these turbulent times...
