Deacon Ward 's Almost Daily Message   Monday  June 29, 2020 🌹🌹🌹🌹 Happy Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul! Today, June 29, the Church celebrates the feast day of Sts. Peter & Paul.  As early as the year 258, there is evidence of an already lengthy tradition of celebrating the solemnities of both Saint Peter and Saint Paul on the same day. In Jesus' name, we pray."  Amen. 🌹 Friday's Tough Question:   Holy Communion may be taken by: a. Anyone at all, so long as his conscience tells him it is the right thing to do. b. Any Christian wh

It's important that we come to know our saints...for they are our models of holiness.  Here is the story of Saint John the Baptist... Jesus called John the greatest of all those who had preceded him: “I tell you, among those born of women, no one is greater than John….” But John would have agreed completely with what Jesus added: “[Y]et the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he” (Luke 7:28). John spent his time in the desert, an ascetic. He began to announce the coming of the Kingdom, and to call everyone to a fundamental reformation of life. His purpose was to prepare the way for Jesus. His baptism, he said, was for repentance. But one would come who would baptize with the Holy Spirit and fire. John was not worthy even to untie his sa
