Next time you feel unqualified
to be used by God remember this...
He tends to recruit from the pit,
not from the pedestal.
( Jon Acuff)

Please remember all of our priests and deacons in your prayers...

Today, we pray for Fathers Richard Lavalley, James Lawrence, and priests having difficulties of our diocese…and also for all Deacon wives, and deacons having difficulties.

“Eternal Father, we lift up to you these and all the priests and deacons of the world.
Sanctify them, heal and guide them.
Mold them into the likeness and holiness
of your Son, Jesus, the Eternal High Priest.

May their lives be pleasing to you. In Jesus' name, we pray."  Amen.

Friday's Tough Question:

Holy Communion may be taken by:

a. Anyone at all, so long as his conscience tells him it is the right thing to do.
b. Any Christian who wishes to manifest the unity which Christ willed for his Church.
c. Catholics in the state of grace, but not by Protestants even if they are in the state of grace.
d. Catholics who have committed mortal sins and are sorry for them, even if they have not confessed them yet in confession.
e. None of the above.

Answer on Monday...Good luck!

****TONIGHT!****
"It is easier for the world to exist without a sun than to exist without the Eucharist."
(St. Padre Pio)

...Starting at 7:00 PM!
Come and join us (or online) for
Holy Adoration and Holy Rosary (Led by Fr. Rijo)
from St. Mary Star of the Sea Church

๐ŸŒน

We continue to pray for our needs and the needs of others. God does hear us. Why?
...because He loves each one of us.

Psalm Prayer

All-powerful God, it is through your Church, generously endowed with gifts of grace and fortified by the Holy Spirit, that you send out your word to all nations. Strengthen your Church with the best of all food and make it dauntless in faith. Multiply its children to celebrate with one accord the mysteries of your love at the altar on high.

READING

(Galatians 2:19b-20)

I have been crucified with Christ, and the life I live now is not my own; Christ is living in me. I still live my human life, but it is a life of faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

INTERCESSIONS

We trust in God’s concern for every person he has created and redeemed through his Son. Let us, therefore, renew our prayer to him:

Fulfill the good work you have begun in us, Lord.

O God of mercy, guide us toward spiritual growth,
fill our minds with thoughts of truth, justice and love.

Fulfill the good work you have begun in us, Lord.

For your name’s sake, do not abandon us for ever,
and do not annul your covenant.

Fulfill the good work you have begun in us, Lord.

Accept us, for our hearts are humble and our spirits contrite,
and those who trust in you shall not be put to shame.

Fulfill the good work you have begun in us, Lord.

You have called us to a prophetic vocation in Christ,
help us proclaim your mighty deeds.

Fulfill the good work you have begun in us, Lord.

๐ŸŒน

When you wake tomorrow morning...
ask Him:

Lord, as the beginning of this new day dawns
send the radiance of your light
to shine in my heart.
Make me true to your teaching;
keep me free from error and sin.
I ask this through Christ, our Lord.
Amen.
