Friday June 12, 2020
First things first...
Continuing to remember all of our priests in our prayers...
"Gracious and loving God,
...Starting at 7:00 PM!
How much do you know about your faith?
This Sunday we celebrate the
Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ.
So, here's the question of the day...
Which of these statements is correct?
*In the Mass:
a. Jesus is symbolized by the bread and wine from the moment of consecration onward.
b. Jesus is spiritually present when the community gathers in prayer under the leadership of the priest and ceases to be spiritually present when the priest leaves the sanctuary.
c. Jesus is physically present along with the bread and wine once consecration has occurred.
d. Jesus is present, and the bread and wine are not present, after the consecration.
e. None of the above.
Tough question! Answer on Monday!
Good Luck!

Pray for and support our Young Apostles!
Lord Jesus Christ our God, the God of boundless mercies and compassion, whose love for mankind is indescribable and immeasurable,
I fall before your glory with fear and trembling as I offer you thanks for all the good things you have granted me, your unworthy servant.
I glorify you, praise you, and sing to you, the only Lord,Master, and Benefactor.
Again, falling before you, I offer thanks to your unspeakable compassion and pray that
from this day forth,
as before, you continue to work your
wonders for me, that thus I may grow in love for you
and for my neighbor.
Deliver me from all evil and need. Grant me peace, and make me worthy, all the days of my life,
to offer thanks to you
and to cry out and sing to the Father
and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
(Orthodox Prayer)

"Gracious and loving God,
we thank you for the gift of our priests.
Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments.
Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments.
Help our priests to be strong in their vocations.
Set their souls on fire with love of your people.
Set their souls on fire with love of your people.
Grant them the wisdom, understanding, and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Inspire them with the vision of your Kingdom.
Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel.
Allow them to experience joy in their ministry.
Help them to become instruments of your divine grace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ,
who lives and reigns as our Eternal Priest."

Pray for and support our Young Apostles!
Pray for and support Ann Gonyaw who is guiding and mentoring these young men and women of our parish as they journey in their Catholic faith!
The Young Apostles are our faith's future..!
They devoted themselves to the teaching
of the Apostles and to the communal life,
to the breaking of the bread and to the prayers.

Before I go to sleep...
"I lift up my heart and my prayers
to you, O Lord.
And ask that your blessings illumine my heart,
and that by loving truly in your name,
and living your will,
Your radiance will touch all whom I meet
today, tomorrow and for ever."
Amen.
