May their lives be pleasing to you.

Together we will dedicate this month of May in: 

Prayer of Renewal of the Consecration of the U.S. to the Blessed Virgin Mary

(EWTN television network will air the consecration of the U.S. and Canada today in a liturgy celebrated by U.S. bishops' conference president Archbishop Jose Gomez. This will be broadcast at 3:00 PM this afternoon.

Bonjour...hello everyone! It's weekend time!

There are no significant announcements either from the diocese or the Mater Dei Parish.

We are awaiting word from the bishop about easing the restrictions for Holy Mass; hopefully and prayerfully this will come soon!

A reminder that today is the day the Vermont Foodbank will be in Newport...at the NEK Airport (Airport Road)

Speaking of the Foodbank...our own Mater Dei Food Shelf is also in need of non- perishable food items.

This a wonderful way to end the day and week, and begin this new month, showing devotion to the Mother of God...Mary, Most Holy. 

I realize that this is, in no way, the same as placing yourself in the actual presence of the Blessed Sacrament, but it can be your gesture, your offering to give a few minutes of your day to Jesus ...who died for you!

Pope St. John Paul II stated:

"The Church and the world have a great need for eucharistic worship. Jesus awaits us in this sacrament of love. Let us be generous  with our time in going to meet Him in adoration and in contemplation that is full of faith and ready to make reparation for the great faults and crimes of the world by our adoration."
