Happy Easter, my brothers and sisters in Christ!
Alleluia!  Alleluia!

"Life and physical health are precious gifts entrusted to us by God. We must take reasonable care of them, taking into account the needs of others and the common good." Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC:) 2288

"Pray for Our Priests" and "Pray for our Deacons":

Today, we pray for Fr. Dallas St. Peter of our diocese...and also for Deacon Paul Mello.

"Eternal Father, we lift up to you these and all the priests, deacons of the world.
Sanctify them, heal and guide them.
Mold them into the likeness and holiness
of your Son, Jesus, the Eternal High Priest.
May their lives be pleasing to you.
In Jesus' name, we pray." Amen.

*******************************
I hope all enjoyed a happy and holy Easter!

We now begin our journey of fifty days of the Easter season, culminating at Pentecost

I think sometimes we feel ,now that Easter Sunday has come and passed, that it's ok to go back to "the way things were."

Maybe during Lent we gave up certain things that, in reality, shouldn't be part of our lives or habits. Or, maybe we did positive or good things during Lent that we don't normally do outside of Lent.

Remember, the pillars of Lent? Fasting, Almsgiving, and Prayer.
Why, at the end of Lent, shouldn't we continue our Lenten promises throughout the whole year?

During the Lenten and Holy Week period, we witnessed, in remembrance, the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

To be like Him, we, too, must sacrifice. We must step out of ourselves and become a new creation, one whose sole being is devoted to the love and caring of others.

This is who Christ is; this is who He wants us to be.

Pray for God's blessings, and for the graces to be who He created you to be!

Continue the Three Pillars of Lent and you will receive a just reward...guaranteed!

~Today's Announcements~

The Bishop did say that no services will resume until at least May 15th.

The sacrament of Confirmations scheduled for this spring has been postponed until fall.
The sacrament of First Communion will be scheduled after resumption of Masses.

Please see the Diocese of Burlington website for further information, and for online activities that are being offered.

Continue to be safe and continue to pray...and pray some more!

One last thought...I hope the weather is good tomorrow for my trip to Puertoyarda, I'm getting tired of Los Livingroom.😎

Until next time...
In His peace.
