Happy Easter, my brothers and sisters in Christ!
Alleluia!  Alleluia!

"Life and physical health are precious gifts entrusted to us by God. We must take reasonable care of them, taking into account the needs of others and the common good." Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC:) 2288

“Pray for Our Priest and Deacons”

Today we pray for Fr. James Zuccaro of our diocese…and also for Deacon Tony Previti.

“Eternal Father, we lift up to you these and all the priests and deacons of the world.
Sanctify them, heal and guide them.
Mold them into the likeness and holiness
of your Son, Jesus, the Eternal High Priest.
May their lives be pleasing to you.
In Jesus’ name, we pray.” Amen.

Hello everyone!

All those who jumped for joy at seeing snow this morning...you may need to see a professional!  We're all praying for an end to this coronavirus, but let's also pray for warmer weather...all in favor say YEA.

No new news today.

I am including a flyer I received regarding food distribution for those in need; please spread the word...there are many who are having a difficult time.
Please note that our Mater Dei parish provides a food shelf (available on Thursdays)as well; donated, non-perishable goods are always needed and welcomed!

******************************
It is for all of us to shine the light of Christ on all those we meet, and especially on those who we don't meet...the one's truly in need.

Today I am including snippets of prayers, psalms, hymns and the like for you contemplate. Read them slowly; see how they may speak to you...

"For the effect of our sharing in the Body and Blood of Christ is to change us into what we receive. As we have died with Him, and have been buried and raised to life with Him, so we bear Him within us, both in body and spirit, in everything we do."
(St. Leo the Great)

"All good gifts around us
are sent from Heav'n above,
Then thank the Lord,
O' thank the Lord for all His love.
He only is the maker
of all things near and far;
He paints the wayside flower,
He lights the ev'ning star.
The winds and waves obey Him,
by Him the birds are fed:
Much more to us His children,
He gives our daily bread."
(Hymn)

A light has dawned for the just;
joy has come to the upright heart, alleluia!
(Antiphon)

Until next time...
In His peace.
Deacon Ward
